We are called to move toward the messy, the needy, the broken. They are all around us. Jesus came so close that he touched the sick, the unclean, even the leper.
We are called to go into the midst. This is what Jesus did. He came into the midst of sinners to save them, to save us. And he stays with us. He abides with us.
Because of Jesus and by His Spirit we are called to walk beside the disconsolate, the discouraged, and the weak. We hope to make a difference.
