God has sent us as his people to this city to seek its peace and prosperity. We know the King is returning and with him a new heaven and earth. But both these realities motivate us, rather than demotivate us, to serve and love our neighbors, as well as work with them to build a thriving community.
While we seek a gospel-shaped city and culture, both are the inevitable yet necessary result flowing from a gospel-shaped heart. That is where we must begin.
