“Consider your ways,” the prophet Haggai urges. God’s people were the right people, living in the right place, doing the right work, for the right reasons. And, yet, they drifted.
Though the prophetic “tone” has changed from Old Testament to New Testament prophecy, we as God’s people still tend to drift in our hearts away from God and, for that very reason, are always in need of God’s prophetic reminder to “Consider your ways”.
