You are fitted to serve. You are “the body of Christ and individually members of it”. This means you have been gifted for and have a role in the work of ministry. This also means that you’ve been fitted to the body and not the other way around.
You are filled to serve. The best way to discover and to grow your gifts is in the service of others. As the body of Christ, the Holy Spirit himself is personally present and involved in our giving. We stand mid-stream in the flow of God’s love. The flow comes from God into us and is intended to flow from us onto others.
You are freed to serve. The life of service is the kind of life that pleases God. It’s also the kind of life God is pleased to make, to create. He doesn’t obligate is to serve him. Neither does he circumvent our will. He makes us new by indwelling us in Jesus.
