Jesus said to go and make disciples. He didn’t say go and make Christians. Was this a slip of the divine tongue or did Jesus choose this word purposefully?
A disciple is an apprentice to Jesus, and discipleship is the gift of participation in his life. Anyone is invited to “try” Jesus and to see where following him may lead.
