In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells the disciples that when the Spirit comes into the world, he will convict the world of sin, but also of righteousness. What does Jesus mean by this? Most of us understand that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction of the sin in the world, but what does it mean to convict of righteousness? As disciples of Christ we are called to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Seeking to understand the words of the one we love is indeed evidence that we do love them.
