As disciples of Jesus, we need to be reminded of the basics on a regular basis. As Paul says in Romans 12, “do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” After coming to Christ, being saved, justified by His grace and mercy, we still need a lot of rewiring. We have wounds, bad habits, a sinful nature, that war against the life of the Spirit of God within us. Forgiveness is a command of God – and it is a prime battleground in our hearts.
