There comes a point when it’s no longer that we can’t believe, but that we won’t. We won’t believe we need forgiveness or to forgive. We won’t believe we need to change or that we’re wrong. We won’t believe what the Scriptures say is true or that it is true for me. We won’t believe we are angry or that we need help. We won’t…and with time our hearts grow cold and become hardened. And when that happens, we need the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to penetrate and tenderize our hearts once again.
