Palm Sunday commemorates the day that King Jesus, Messiah, entered Jerusalem to the cheers of “hosanna” – that is, “LORD save us”. In this act, Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecy, and also, to those paying attention, was indicating that his Kingship was different. Something other than the ordinary was to take place.
