You Must be Born Again

"You must be born again", Jesus says in the Gospel of John.  God chose birth as a powerful picture demonstrating just how radical it is to enter the new life of the Kingdom.  "You must be born again" is a directive that no one can undertake.  We could not bring about our own birth, let alone a second mysterious divine birth!  How can we be born again?
