Values

  • We are committed to encouraging spiritual growth in each individual as followers of Christ, building a devotional life of prayer, Bible reading and other spiritual exercises.

  • We are committed to the full operation of spiritual gifts and will provide opportunity for every believer to discover, develop and use their spiritual gifts to fulfill the mission of the church.

  • We are committed to honoring God with our time, talents and treasures; recognizing that tithing, accompanied by freewill offerings, is God’s ordained method to finance the spreading of the Gospel and the needs of the local assembly.

  • We are committed to gathering weekly as a local assembly, holding regular Bible studies and small groups, and sharing as a big part of the church’s strategy for care and training. Regular feeding equals healthy souls.

  • We are committed to identifying and developing Spirit-led leadership, willing to be influential and accountable, eager to make a difference in this life. We are especially committed to training future generations.

  • We are committed to relevance (not being “cool”) in our methods of worship and ministry, not allowing meaningless religious traditions to keep us from reaching ours and future generations with the Gospel.

  • We are committed to evangelistic outreach of all people with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We are committed to community involvement, helping to set its course by our service and example of grace and righteousness.

  • We are committed to upholding the sanctity of all human life from conception onward.

  • We are committed to sending and supporting missionaries as extensions of our local church, in both long and short-term, foreign and local, missions.

  • We are committed to building strong, extended families; by helping to provide training materials for our children, modeling solid discipleship and wise parenting for every home and household.

  • We are committed to working to the fullest extent towards unity between local churches, concentrating upon our commonly held faith, not ignoring our deeply held values but also not attempting to lead with our distinctions.

Statements of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible Word of God.

We believe in one God. The Godhead consists of three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are the same in essence, equal in power and glory.

We believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone, to the glory of God alone.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, in His incarnation, His virgin birth, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. All temporal and eternal blessings come to us from God and are mediated to us via the cross.

We believe in the perseverance of the saints by the grace of God.

We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit in regeneration, sanctification, baptism, sealing, filling and that He empowers the believer with spiritual gifts, for the building up of the body of Christ and the fulfillment of the great commission.

We believe in one holy united Church built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. He has given to the Church some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of service to the building up of the body of Christ.

We believe that Christ has provided for the rule and care of His Church in elders and deacons and that the Church universal is made visible in the Church local.

We recognize two sacraments instituted by Christ in the New Testament; Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which, by physical signs, Christ and the benefits of the New Covenant are represented, sealed and applied to believers by faith.

We believe in the personal Second Coming of Jesus Christ in power and great glory.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment.

We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all of God’s children and requires abstinence from adultery, fornication, pornography, incest, homosexuality, or other sexual relationships or practices forbidden by Scripture.

We believe that marriage is a sacred institution established by God and is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.

We believe in the sanctity of human life. Since man is created in God’s image, human life is of inestimable worth and significance in all its dimensions, from conception to the grave.
